Inter Milan and Cesc Fàbregas held a crucial meeting in London tonight to discuss the feasibility of the deal.
However, according to Alfredo Pedulla via FCInter1908, Inter's contract proposal did not meet the Spaniard's expectations.
The 38-year-old requested a three-year contract, but Inter prefer a shorter agreement. Therefore, Pedullà believes that Como are closer to keeping Cesc Fàbregas than Inter are to signing him.
Adding to this sentiment, the manager confirmed his desire to stay at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium earlier today. Piero Ausilio had direct contact with Fabregas in an attempt to convince the former Arsenal playmaker to take charge at San Siro.
However, the Como boss demanded certain assurances regarding the transfer window. Unfortunately, the two parties do not see eye to eye, which corroborates recent reports by Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio confirmed that Inter are still interested in signing Fabregas, but he insisted that the road remains 'complicated'.
Consequently, the likelihood of Fabregas replacing Simone Inzaghi in the dugout is diminishing.
