Iraq will be missing right-back Mustafa Saadoon, who has withdrawn from the squad due to injury, while players like the 84-cap Amjad Attwan and 50-cap Hussein Ali Al-Saedi have been omitted after being in the preliminary squad.

Aymen Hussein, Iraq's fifth-highest all-time goalscorer with 32 goals, is set to lead the attack as captain and may be supported upfront by Youssef Amyn and Como's Ali Jasim, with Rebin Sulaka aiming for his 50th cap in defense.

For South Korea, the standout inclusion in their 26-man squad is Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League-winning captain Son Heung-min, who has 133 caps and is just four appearances away from becoming the nation's record holder.

Son is expected to play as a central striker, supported in attack by Wolves' Hwang Hee-chan, Celtic's Yang Hyun-jun, and PSG's Lee Kang-in, who recently won the Champions League.

Bayern Munich's center-back Kim Min-jae has not been selected for this squad, so Cho Yu-min and Kwon Kyung-won are likely to form the central defensive partnership.

Iraq possible starting lineup:

Basil; Sulaka, Youni, Hashem; Bayesh, Al-Ammari; Rashid, Yahyal; Amyn, Jasim; Hussein

South Korea possible starting lineup:

Jo; Seol, Cho, Kwon, T. Lee; I. Hwang, Y. Park; Yang, K. Lee, H. Hwang; Son
