Michail Antonio has shared intense footage of his challenging journey to walk again after a terrifying car crash that ended his season.

The 34-year-old West Ham striker posted the inspiring video on his Instagram page as he continues his rehabilitation process.

He captioned the video 'Faith will overcome all challenges', featuring a montage of his rehab sessions and heartfelt moments with teammates.

In the footage, which begins with an image of the crash wreckage, the Jamaican forward is shown lying in his hospital bed before using a walking frame for his first difficult steps, assisted by nurses.

He is later depicted entering the club gym on crutches, visibly struggling as his recovery intensifies.

The star was airlifted to a London hospital and sustained a broken leg after crashing his £260,000 Ferrari near Theydon Bois, Essex, in early December.

Antonio's accident happened in Epping while heading home from West Ham's Rush Green training ground, and he underwent surgery on the broken leg that same night.

Medical staff engaged him in conversations about football, including his managers and career highlights, to encourage him to speak.

They noted that he was talking extensively and repeating himself, which is typical after a head injury.

West Ham players wore shirts with Antonio's name during their subsequent home win over Wolves, the first game after the crash.

These shirts, along with match-worn ones, were signed and auctioned to raise funds for charity.

West Ham players and staff visited their teammate in the hospital during his stay.

Antonio watched West Ham games weekly in the early stages of his recovery to stay motivated.

The West Ham legend said that hearing fans sing his name provided significant encouragement.

He made an emotional return to London Stadium for West Ham's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle in March.

The Jamaica international, West Ham's all-time top Premier League scorer, is out of contract this summer.

A decision on extending his contract to support his recovery is pending, with discussions expected soon.
