After defeating Los Angeles FC in the opening round, Chelsea will aim to pick up another win when they face Flamengo in the Club World Cup on Friday in Philadelphia. The Brazilian side will also be looking to make it two wins in a row after defeating Tunisia's Hope in their opening match.

Flamengo qualified for the 2022 Copa Libertadores by becoming one of four teams to compete in the Club World Cup. The Brazilian team is head coached by former Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis, who has made a remarkable start to his senior managerial career since taking over last September, with a record of 32 wins, 11 draws and three losses in 46 official matches.

Chelsea head into the expanded Club World Cup with confidence after a strong campaign in the 2024-25 campaign, winning a trophy and finishing in the top five. The Blues came from behind to beat Real Betis 4-1 in last month's EFL final. Just days earlier, they secured a spot in next season's Champions League with a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest to finish fourth in the Premier League.
