Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson reportedly has "concrete chances" to leave the club this summer, just one year after a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia collapsed.

Ederson, 31, nearly departed from Manchester City following his sixth Premier League title win in 2024, amid strong interest from the Middle East.

He was offered £900,000 per week to leave the Etihad and did not dismiss the rumors before deciding to stay in the northwest.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano states that Saudi clubs have renewed their interest in the Brazil international.

Ederson could now exit Manchester City for new opportunities, with manager Pep Guardiola prepared to allow the departure.

The 2023 Treble winner has only made 22 Premier League appearances this season, marking his lowest total to date.

Ederson has missed Manchester City's last three matches, including the FA Cup semi-final victory over Nottingham Forest, after sustaining an injury against Crystal Palace 16 days ago.

His current contract with Manchester City, valued at £180,000 per week, extends until 2026.

With backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega performing well consistently, Ederson might become the latest high-profile player to depart from the club.

Kyle Walker moved to AC Milan in January.

Meanwhile, veteran Kevin De Bruyne will leave on a free transfer when his contract ends this summer.

There are also uncertainties surrounding players like Ilkay Gundogan, John Stones, and Nathan Ake.

Manchester City has already started a squad overhaul, investing £180 million on talents such as Omar Marmoush and Nico Gonzalez in January.

Players like Nico O'Reilly and James McAtee have also seen significant playing time.

After manager Pep Guardiola extended his contract until 2027, addressing speculation about his future, a new era for Manchester City is underway.
