Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Liverpool defender, has shared a message on social media ahead of his final appearance for the club against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
"20 years. Gave it everything," wrote Alexander-Arnold on X as the right-back prepares to conclude his 20-year career with Liverpool.
The 26-year-old's contract with Liverpool expires at the end of June, allowing him to join Real Madrid as a free agent.
However, the England full-back faced boos from some Liverpool fans when he came off the bench during the match against Arsenal earlier this month. Former manager Jurgen Klopp expressed deep disappointment, stating he "could not have been more disappointed" with the supporters' reaction.
"I don't want to tell anyone what they should think, but I can tell you when you're wrong. I'm an old man and I don't waste time hiding my opinion," said Klopp, who served as the guest of honor at the LFC Foundation Gala Ball, where he is an ambassador.
