Riyadh Victory has already missed the AFC Elite League, but they can still qualify for the AFC Champions League 2 by finishing third in the league.
But Arab journalist Khalid Al-Shenayef said that if Victory qualifies for the AFC Champions League 2, the club will decide to withdraw from the league, even if it will face penalties from the AFC.
But a former Saudi Arabian Football Association official said that any team participating in intercontinental competitions must go through a specific mechanism and coordinate with the Saudi Football Association. The relevant clubs must first negotiate with the Football Association to resolve these issues before submitting the list to the intercontinental football association. If Victory is unwilling to participate in the AFC Champions League 2, the seat will be allocated to the team ranked behind it, and Victory will not be punished or forced to participate.
